This is my current system

CPU: i5 7600K 3.8Ghz

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S Massive Air Cooler

Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2X8) 2400Mhz

Storage: Crucial MX300 275GB SSD + Seagate 2TB 7200RPM HDD

That's a pretty good system, are you having an issue with something? Unless you're wanting to game at 4k you shouldn't really be having an issue. Upgrading to the latest i7 will only give you 5-10% improvement in FPS so the question is, is that worth forking out £600/$700 on? Graphics wise there's only really the 2080 and 2080Ti that are going to give you significant improvement, and that's another £750-£1000.

I have an i5-6600k @ 4.7Ghz paired with a GTX1070Ti so one down from yours on both counts and I can run any modern game on high or ultra settings without problems, but I'm only gaming at 1080p.

An quick and easy improvement is over clocking if you're lucky you can 5Ghz out of the 7600k (mine was at 4.8Ghz air cooled) or spend some and get a 7700k. What "bottleneck" are you talking about?
