Hii, this will be my first build ever. I currently have a CPU and a MOBO that i got on a combo-deal for about $260 for both.

Approximate Purchase Date: Within two weeks

Budget Range: $700 - $775 (Not a penny more)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Surfing Internet, Watching videos, Homework, Office work

Parts Not Required: CPU, MOBO, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Tigerdirect, Amazon

Country: USA

Parts Preferences: Any with good reviews

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Additional Comments: I want a graphics card that is at the performance of a GTX 560ti/Radeon HD 6950 or better. I looked into the 7850 and I really like it but it goes beyond my budget which I found for ~$234.99 on newegg. No graphics card that consumes a lot of power and has heating issues like the GTX 480. I also need a copy of Windows 7.

PARTS I HAVE ALREADY:

Asrock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Z77 ATX Intel Motherboard

IntelCore i5 2500K LGA 1155 Boxed Processor

They have a combo deal, if you buy select motherboards and select CPUs then they will give you $50 off.

could you clarify your budget? you have the CPU/monitor/motherboard as not required and budget as $775. to me that says $775 for the rest of the parts. or is it $775-$260 you already spent on the CPU and board?

I ask because I can't see how you couldn't afford a 7850, which is a great choice. When all you need is memory/PSU/Case/Drives/GPU/Windows.

So what are the other parts you have already "priced" that put a 7850 out of budget?

Also if you want 6950 performance they are still out there. great deal for 199 with battlefield 3. its not as good as a 7850, but if you will NEVER want to crossfire it (since its last Gen and harder to get) its a good deal. especially if you don't have and want BF3

Sorry I meant I want a the total cost to be about ~$750, willing to go a little beyond that but no more than $775. The total cost would include the CPU and MOBO which are both $260. So it would actually be around ~$500 for the missing parts and operating system. With operating system it would be about ~$400 which is a tight budget. I already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse so no need to worry about that.
