Hello everyone. It's my first post here.
I'm kind of novice to PCs. I'm trying to build a mITX gaming machine. My configuration goes like this
Case: Thermaltake core V1
Motherboard: gigabyte aorus x570i( updated to latest bios, F11)
Processor: ryzen 2200g (will get replaced by ryzen 5 3600 + dedicated GPU)
Cooler: stock
Memory: GSKILL DDR4 16GB (2*8) F4-3600C16D-16GVKC
Storage: m.2 nvme 500gb
Now my problem:
The system gets stuck right after POST. I can get into bios everytime to make changes but booting further it stays frozen (1st screenshot)

This is the memory info in the BIOS. As U can see the memory is probably not being detected correctly (c16-8gvk).

It is the correct capacity though and I can select XMP profile 1 and get it to 3600mhz @ 1.38V
I actually got it to boot in Windows (first cold boot) and things run fine but the info is strange, it detects 16GB of RAM but only 5.95 available (2Gb reserved for VRAM -8gb, so only one memory stick is functional I guess).

Now, leaving only one memory module in channel A boots fine, everything works as it should, tried both memory sticks. Inserting them one by one in channel B makes the system non bootable, not even posting or getting to BIOS.
So it seems like a faulty memory channel on the motherboard. Or could there be an incompatibility between the proc and memory? Should I try other other settings in the BIOS before I change the motherboard?
Thanks

Have you already installed boot media for an OS? If so is that media still attached or in the disc drive?

Is it like a command screen with no interaction or just nothing at all. Add a pick of where it gets stuck if you can.
