So I just purchased a WIFI and BT 5.0 internal card but the bluetooth on my 5.0 enabled headphones only can get a connection consistent if within 2 meters. By 5 meters it's effectively dropped.

When I use the same headphones on my 4.2 Phone I easily get 10 meters plus.

This is the card I ordered
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B085FXTQN6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Is it just because it is a no name brand or is this normal if it's sitting internally in my metal tower? Do I need to get an external adapter to reduce interference?

Thanks in advance

oh yah BT also uses the antennas. i've used similar and they for sure need the antennas for the BT. try unscrwwing them and connecting the BT. you'll see real fast how much it is needed.

you can try a couple things for testing purposes like turning the case so you can see the back of it. if it works better, then you know the case is in the way. simple easy test to see what might be going on. it's also possible it is just not a very good card. i've seen that before as well. thos no name brands use known components so that is not normally a problem. but poor manufacturing can mess up how ti works for sure. i don't know that brand so don't know how well they are made.
the external antenna should help it get a good signal. my question is why do you need more than 5 meters from the pc? seems like plenty of distance for normal pc use. i assume if you wish to walk around listening to music, the phone would be a better option so you can stay portable no matter where.

where is the pc case? is it sitting on the ground under a desk with the BT antennas buried under a bunch of wires? or is the case on top of the desk and the antennas are generally free of obstruction?

i don't care for these types of internal cards due to the antennas being behind the case. but if it is on top of the desk and the cables are neat and not in the way, you should get a decent signal! how is the wifi signal? is it strong or weak as well?

I believe the antennas are only for the wifi channels.

It's on the floor. I want to be 5 meters away because my new 2060 Super replaced my one X and still want to play FPS and Fifa on the bed, I use a TV for those games
