[SOLVED] Help with RAM

Alright so heres my system,
CPU: i5 12600kf
Motherboard: Gigabyte B660M DS3H DDR4 (updated to the F5 bios)
RAM: RAM Patriot Viper Steel DDR4, 3600MHz, 16GB (2 x 8GB) (I believe the sku is PVS416G360C8K )
GPU: Powercolor red devil RX 6700XT
PSU: Some 900w from antec

So my thing is, When i try to turn on XMP to have my ram running at his speed, after saving bios config, screen goes black for like 1 min.. Then pc tries to boot again and it kinda gets stuck there (each time it tries to boot again i can access the bios so i can change it back)
I've been trying to get it to work at full speed (or anywhere near there but i can't, Max i have tried and worked is 2400Mhz)
I tried 2800mhz and same thing. Manually added the latency as 18 because it was running at 16 1933mhz at first

I don't know if my ram is faulty or if theres something i could try to do and fix it.
I have them installed in Slots 1 and 3

Put ram in slots A2 and B2 (grey color slots).

Overclock manually:
Change dram settings in BIOS:
DDR voltage 1.35V
Latencies 18-22-22-42
Command rate 1T

Set DRAM frequency to 2400mhz, test.
Increase DRAM frequency and test again 2600,2800,2933,3000,3200,3400,3600.
When test fails, then return to previous settings that worked.

Also with @SkyNetRising advice, i would suggest to use 2T instead to see stability. With XMP profile enabled, use 1.36v on Dram, set vccsa manually at 1.15v or 1.2v.

It's not always like that. With higher speed even at 2 modules, wether it be single rank or dual rank, 1T Pure is not always achieveable, even with 1.45v+. The most i ever saw could do 1T is samsung b dies, and micron rev e, and sometimes hynix djr.

Most of them ran on 2T stable, since i already tested plenty kits myself from my friends sticks (even b dies ones), and my personal CJR kit (Patriot Blackout 3600 C17), only b dies out from hynix kit that could do 1T Pure no gdm wether it be intel (tried 1T at 3600 cl22 since im loosening up) or amd, with loose timings and high voltage on dram, VCCIO and VCCSA on intel, and SOC Volt, VDDG, and VDDP being setted up to the limits.

Point is 2T > 1T in terms of stability, unless you ran your ram below 3200mhz JEDEC (CL22), no matter single rank/dual rank, or 4 dimms. You could try it yourself rather than hypothise it.

1T Gear Down Mode Is another story, i believe this mode is most stablest, since it works by halving the tCL and tCWL clocks and timings at half their speed, say 3200 C16 module means 1600 clock, and with gdm, for tCL and tCWL (somtimes the whole primaries), the timings are going to be rounded up (say you give 15 on both tCL and tCWL, it will became 16 with GDM Enabled), and then halved, so both tCL and tCWL ran at 800 C8.

I run Hynix CJR (Patriot Viper Steel) at 3733 CL17 (Rated speed and timings) 1T no issue on ZEN 3 with 4 modules.

These RAM kits don't play nice with certain configurations, B-die is your best.

In the bios this is set to XMP so should be CL17 not 18, I will set it manually, GearDown mode is off.

Yup, I hope it's stable

anything with Gear Down Mode would be rounded if there is any odd timings on tCL and tCWL.

If you wish to try to get the full 3600, set the speed to 3600 and up the voltage to 1.38 if that fails try 1.4
