Help with replacing Female USB Connectors on Case

I recently broke my Female USB connectors on my case, (Rosswill Blackhawk.) I took it apart and have a small Circuit board with the USB ports attached, and my plan is to remove them, clean old solder and re-solder new ones on.

The USB ports are a special design, the are "Dual stacked" and are held onto the board by 2 Main Pins and 4 smaller pins. For reference I found them on Ebay,

I am wondering, is it possible for me to find that same USB connector in a USB car charger, remove it and use it in my computer system? If so, what are some things I need to play attention to? I have basic knowledge on soldering but tips are always appreciated.

The reason I am thinking of getting them out of an existing thing is I am in canada, and the shipping+Ship time is not going to work for this project.

I see, as long as your pretty good with a soldering Iron it should be no problem.

One thing I will give you fair warning about though, is that you make sure you have a high wattage soldering iron.
As the board will soak up a lot of heat from the tip as you try to de solder the old connector from the board.

And also solder the new connector to it.

The two main pins leading to the metal surround of the ports are the two grounding points.
The other four are 5v+ TX, and RX, and 5v- or signal ground but i`m sure you know this already.

The easy way to remove the old usb double stacked port, is to use a heat gun if you can.
That has a tempreture control on it, you want to set it to 230c.

Heat all of the solder points on the back of the...

And use a set of pliers to hold the usb ports, and remove it from the board once you see all the solder on the pins melt.



like wise the solder tip of the Iron should also be around 230c.
