Hello... Yes... create a shortcut and try it for each program on your HD... Some will work some will not work.

Plug your SSD into SATA0 and HD into SATA1... Change and save your Boot order in your MB BIO's SSD/DVD/USB/HD.

ADDing a new SSD as a OS bootdrive requires Program/Data/File re-organization to get it all working agian.
Hello... 1) Installing an OS on the SSD, without your 2TB connected, Will turn it into a Bootable drive.

2) Create Shortcuts to your 2TB drive programs.

3) Some programs will need to be re-installed, for files and information to be read in the NEW OS Bootdrive registry... Some will not.

So if i boot from my SSD, then once on the desktop i open up my 2tb hardrive in file manager and create shortcuts on my ssd from my HDD it will still work Like all my games from steam and stuff will still run?

the problem im seeing is for example i have the classic shell on my HDD but want it to work on my SSD without having to redownload it and install it again

Basically what i have done is installed a fresh windows 8 OS on my new SSD but want to still have classic shell and all my steam games ect

Im new to this stuff so if you can explain it quite simple that would be helpful!

Hello... 3) Some Programs will need to be re-installed, for files and information to be read in the NEW OS Bootdrive registry... Some will not.

Determine which one work and won't work... and report back.

Use "Custom install" when wanting to load/store a PROGRAM on the HD and not SSD.

How can I determine which ones need to be reinstalled and the one I'm mostly bother about is steam games I don't want to have to download them all again can I just run them from shortcuts

One last thing aswell everytime i boot up my pc it asks me do i want volume 1 or 2, 1 being HDD and 2 being SSD how can i stop this message and just make it boot to my ssd by default?
