Question Help with system boot

Just purcahsed the AMD Ryzen 7 2700x cpu along with the Asus rog B450-I gaming motherboard.


Will not boot up, looks like boot loop, it looks like it trying to go through the process But repeats the L.E.D. lights

White (VGA)
Yellow (DRAM)
Red light (CPU)

So i took the CPU out replaced it with my AMD Ryzen 3 1300x cpu to update, and it booted up to let me update the bios. Reinserted 2700x into slot and same thing as last time, still not boot.

Have you cleared cmos before starting up the PC?
Which cooler do you use?

I am using the stock cooler that comes with the 2700x straight from the package, and no I have not tried to clear the cmos.

Still nothing, but I did swap back in my 1300x and it loads no problem.

Should I have not updated the bios?

full system spec? include make and model of the psu

All brand new

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
Motherbaord: Asus Rog B450-I GAMING
GPU: Asus Rog Strix 1060 6gb
PSU: Corsair RM850

if it work on the old cpu but not the new. check bend pin? rma it?

Was able to get it working, thank you all for trying to help with the situation.

how did you solve it?

There was wattage or voltage switch on the back of my PSU just had to flip the switch over. Wasn’t getting enough juice to the CPU.
