Help with system

This is my current build. I tried to fit my R9 280x Vapor-x OC (dual fan) into the case but the gpu seems to be a bit too tall. The card fits into the case but once I run a game like CSGO, I hear a sound that I suspect as the fans hitting the psu cover and then the computer crashes. If anyone can fix this problem, it would be much appreciated.

If this can't be fixed, can anyone suggest a R9 390 that wouldn't be too tall?

I suspect, it's not the length of the card that causes the issue.
PSU compartment plate is too close to the graphic card.

I think it would be easier to replace case to some other model.

Yeah this was what I suspected too. I know the Evolv ITX is modular and I've got rid of many parts of the case so I could fit my hardware. I was wondering if I could get rid of the PSU compartment cover thing. Currently I'm managing with sticking a mechanical pencil lead case thing stuck between the psu compartment and the gpu. But I don't think I'm going to manage with that solution for long.

That compartment plate is fixed with rivets.
It could be really messy to remove them (you would need to drill those rivets out)
and probably visual impact would not be great.
Functional integrity of the case could suffer also.

Do you have any suggestions for a R9 390/x that I could fit in this case? The current gpu is 45mm tall (height) if u wanted to know.

My suggestion is to change the case. That's far less expensive than another R9 390X.

The window of that case bothers me since it's not full framed. I also don't want to go through the hassle of rebuilding this system since I don't think I can allot myself enough time atm. I also saved up money for a gpu, so suggestions for a small R9 390/390x?

And all the double slot cards will get obstructed by construction of your case.

and attach this cooler to it:

Plus you would need liquid cooling system for that.

Anyway, better just change the case.
