1. So I recentley found an old Toshiba equium A200-196 (Specs here: http://www.toshiba.co.uk/discontinued-products/equium-a200-196/ ) and I decided to make it an email, document, intrernet and / or coding machine. I decided to slap on puppy linux, but found out that the optical drive is broken. As Im soon to replace it, I decided to do a few other upgrades, mainly the RAM to 2gb, the battery, the storage and, ( although I know that this is not usually done on laptops), the cpu. Why? Because of this: https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread.php?53727-Equium-A200-1V0-Upgrading-the-CPU
2. The creator claims that he supposedly has a '6 times faster ' machine now. i want to know if this is possible on my old laptop, and if so, what cpu should I pick that would be compatible with my bios, socket, chipset and everything else it should be compatible with, as well as the cpu not overheating. What could I use? It'd be great if some light, undemanding games would be playable too (minecraft, etc. ) but i do understand if its not possible.
3. Also, does anybody know what the storage limit would be on this laptop? What battery could I put in, as in, would it support a larger battery?
Any help appreciated, especially with the cpu. Thanks!
