I have a Millennia (B302-B100) RS 2100 with a spitfire- gvc ar862 w/intergrated component and I would like to upgrade the processor to it's fastest chip.

My problem is it's so very hard to track down who made the motherboard to get tips.

I was wondering if you had any help you can give me to reach my goal?

I've got some Micron machines. If you're still in the 3 yrs (I think) warranty period you might contact them, Phone or online. I've had good experience with their tech support of my older machines.

XP 2000+
MSI KT3 ULTRA-2 KT333
Maxtor 60GB ATA 133 7200RPM
512MB PC2700
ABIT G4 Ti4200 OTES 64MB
Win98SE

I don't think I'll be buying any more MicronPC's any time soon.

I'm trying to save the one I have now.

In a nut-shell I want to swap processors up as high as I can, before I start adding other stuff.

If I have to get a newer system all together MPC is not my first choice.

Thanks for asking though.

It's a GVC motherboard, silly. They're a major OEM supplier. Also known as BCM. You can find links to the company from wimsbios.com.

Oh OK, I'm a total newbie as you can see. I like that you think I should've known, but we can't all be as smart ass you .

Thanks for the reply. I think I am truely getting closer to my goal, I'd rather spend 400 trying to learn how to fix my old system then 500 on one just as crappy
