Help with wireless card

I got this PC http://www.ebuyer.com/409310-cyberpower-gaming-battalion-502-pc-ecc01142 for my birthday and I noticed some people saying there is no wireless card in the computer. At the minute I have a Thomson TG585 v8 wireless router. Will it connect to this PC or do I need to buy a usb wireless adapter?

No, that won't connect wirelessly. You can add wireless capability by buying either a PCI, PCI express, or USB WiFi adapter and installing the drivers for it. They're generally $15-30

If you are wanting to connect to your router wirelessly, a wireless adapter will be needed. However, your computer can be connected using an Ethernet cable without any issues.

For gaming, a wired connection is usually preferred.

If I buy a USB WiFi adapter does it need to match my router so it will have to be G instead of N?

You can use a wireless N adapter with a wireless G network, they are all backwards compantible.

A USB adapter is the worst way to get internet to your computer as far as performance, USB adapters are not big enough to support decent enough antennas, and the USB port only supports 5v of power which is not enough juice for a good strong connection.

Here is best to worst:
1) Ethernet cable from router to pc
2) Powerline network adapter
3) PCI-e wireles card
4) USB wireless adater
