help with wiring

Need some help - I bought an Abit NF7-S mobo and an Antec case to put it
in. There seems to be some discrepency with the instructions for
attaching the power/reset buttons and LEDs in both sets of
instructions...

Abit shows 2 pins for the reset switch, and does not label them any
differently. Antec says "attach the colored wire to pin 1, and the
black wire to ground". Since Abit doesn't specify which is which, what
should I do.

Also, the damn thing doesn't even HAVE a black wire, even though I am
sure I'm dealing with the one for the reset switch.

Next thing - the power LED headers on the Abit mobo show a "+" for one
of the pins. But the Antec instructions don't say which wire should be
seated on the plus. There are no "+" markings on the wire or anything.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

It does not matter for that particular connector, either way is fine, will
work.

Well then trace back the wire to the switch, and see which two connect to
it... as I wrote above, it doesn't matter which way they're connected,
just that the correct two motherboard pins are used as per the manual.

Generally speaking, the darker wire is more often the ground. I don't
recall specifics of Antec cases or even if they are "always" the same
color scheme though. Even so, you can also connect those either way,
providing you have the correct two pins on the board there is no potential
for damage from reversed pins... one way it will work and the other way it
won't, the LED won't light at all.

The reset switch is the same way as power, either way will work.

Thanks for the info. Most of the rest of the wiring went okay.
