Hello again🙁 I am just wondering something- I have the Phenom II 720 BE with an Arctic 64 Pro. I have my multiplier at 17.5, my fsb at 205 and my voltage at 1.392 which puts me at 3.58Mhz. But Speedfan says my temps are as follows at load on Prime95 after 20 minutes- Temp1- 44c, Temp2-62c, Temp3- 55c, and core at 48c. Is that too high on my temps? I cant help but think i either used too much or not enough compound for my cooler because i have read alot of reviews that the Arctic 64 keeps the load temps well under 50c. Anyone have any comments or suggestions?

thank you---but ijust crashed after an hour and a half running prime🙁 should i just try bumping my voltage up a tick?

Max Temp = 73c = No Problemo

I've always had better results with an unlocked AMD to leave the FSB stock, and manually set your memory timings and slot voltage to their respective specs.

Increase the multiplier.

Then increase the CPU Vcore as needed to attain a stable OC at that multiplier setting.

0.850-1.425V is your Vcore range, you can increase to 1.425V and stay within AMDs specs.

Of course all this depends on the M/Bs OCing capabilities, and your cooling.

thats what i have exactly- how do i go about OCing my memory ? i dont know where to start ?

No offence but you need to learn to walk before you run as has everyone of us that overclock their computers, you can Google OCing articles and study how to do it, how to manually set your timings is simply.

With your M/B enter your CMOS setup, select MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T.)

Set your timings to match the websites specs under, DRAM Configuration

Set your DDR2 Voltage, under DDR2 Voltage Control

Overclocking your computer is a great experience and can yield some serious gains or some serious trashed hardware, you need to educate yourself on how to do it and then you won't have to ask how you'll know how.

Learn first then do, or suffer the consequences, thats the best advice I can give you from this point, and again no offence to you.

Absolutely none taken. I appreciate the frankness as i am new to this and do want to learn and not be told. I will take it slow and learn as i go. I will at the very least keep posting my results, good or bad. Thank you for your advice. :)

those are great temps!(good hsf btw) seems like a pretty solid OC too.
you should try goin higher though 😉

dont worry, its only bad if you start approaching 75-80C range.

I would like to go higher but i cant get it stable past 18x multiplier. Any suggestions? Ive tried raising my FSB to 205 with an 18x multiplier with my voltage at 1.442 that put me at 3.78Mhz but couldnt run Prime longer than an hour without it crashing.

Well I would say yes as thats what I've already advised you to do.
