last night I was playing rust like usual and the pc completely shut off with no warning or even lag previous to shutting down, just straight to a black screen in an instant

I waited a little moment and booted back up and all was fine no lag or nothing so went back on rust, after about 20 mins it did the exact same again so I just left it and went off

Tonight I went to start the pc, it lit up for a second and then all went black, soon after it started making a quiet crackling noise so I just unplugged.
Capacitors look fine, I'm just thinking to order a new PSU and see if that helps

any help is appreciated.

When it comes to the PSU buy the best. I bought the AX1600i the best PSU on the planet because i wanted no fan noise and no problems. No clue if the PSU is the problem though, this may be one of those cases where you might have to call your local computer shop guy to your home to have a look at it. Have you done any overclocking? Any undervolting? Or is everything stock / default? Did you change ANYTHING before this started happening?

it almost a fan not work well and that makes the cpu get more heat and pc has to shutdown when it gets to a cretin temperature to prevent cpu damage, change the thermal paste and clean the cpu fan well with a plusher and Air Blower, and dont order anything until you know your current issue!
