I am building about a 1k gaming computer for the upgaming gaming Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. I heard the only video requiremnt is a pixel shader 2.0. I plan on buying my computer by september. Now if vanguard comes out before eptember I will get a short time replacement video card. I only have pci(I know all pci suk i heard it 100000 times). So can any of you guys confirm that this
has a pixel shader 2.0.

If I found the card you are looking for, a Geforce 5200, then it does have pixel 2.0 shader, it's part of the cinefx engine. But then again I may be way off on that. Check NVIDIA' site.

Yes, the 5200 has PS 2.0

Normally, I'd reecommend NEVER, EVER BUY A GEFORCE 5200. It is one of the worst performing cards for the money.

But if you're stuck with an old PCI interface, it's one of the best you can get. Go to town.

Other PCI cards out there are Geforce 5600/5700 (which would be much better than a 5200), or Radeon 9100's and 9200's (which will also be better).

so this would be better...http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1165749&CatId=0
but does it have a pixelshader 2.0

According to ATI the 9200 series has pixel shader 1.4.
* SmartShader™ technology

o Full support for DirectX ® 8.1 programmable pixel and vertex shaders in hardware
o 1.4 pixel shaders support up to 22 instructions and up to 6 textures per rendering pass
o 1.1 vertex shaders support vertex programs up to 128 instructions
o Complete feature set also supported in OpenGL ® via extensions
o Programmable shaders provide enhanced 3D effects in over 100 existing and upcoming game titles

I think Pixel shade 2.0 is direct X 9.
