Helping a Friend with Case Fans

Hey, everyone.

After Christmas, a friend of mine is planning to buy a new case; the EVGA DG-87 Full Tower. What he isn't sure of, and what I want to help him with, is what brand / model of case fans he should put in it. He wants to run the maximum amount of case fans, plus the two on his radiator, so he needs a total of five case fans.

He's stipulated a few things he's looking for from his fans though.

■ 140mm
■ Decent RPM and CFM
■ Static Red LEDs, or RGB LEDs (if RGB, preferably something that comes with a controller)
■ A brand that won't break the bank, but isn't garbage either (I know that can be hard to do, lol)

What do you guys and girls think? I'm not too well versed in case fans, honestly.

Currently he's looked into a lot of Corsair fans, and has taken a liking to the Corsair ML140 Pro Red LED Magnetic Levitation Fan, and the Corsair HD140 RGB LED Fan. The ML140 moves WAY more air than the HD140 does though.

id say go with the Corsair HD140 because it gives you a bit of everything that you are asking for with rgb etc

Well, so does the ML140. He doesn't care whether he has RGB or Static Red, so long as he CAN have Static Red one way or another, be that the only color, or an option via RGB.

Comparing the two fans, the ML140 have a noticeably higher CFM than the HD140.
