hi, i use to know this stuff better but im rusty. i did the passkey token and such for Folding at home am representin g PCMR pc master race i have the team number ect.

however i like to check my work and make sure work server ect is legit and i forgot how to do this stuff. iv been doing the covid19 help research no problems but wanted to check an ip address. not sure if neotrace is still used these days or what but i am very careful bout what i click use eect and since i cant recall any legit tools places ect to check an ip address im reluctant to click search anything just funny that way.

can i use whois?

Not sure what you mean "check". You can find out who own IP address in the official registries like ARIN. There are 2 or 3 or these type sites depending on what country the registration is held.
