Hey all! I have a gaming pc that I built with the help from a teacher at my old school. I have been wanting to upgrade my graphics card but I do not know what I should upgrade to. I want it to be able to run ark on good graphics with mods. As of right now I have the ZOTAC GeForce GT 730 Zone Edition 4GB DDR4 PCI Express 2.0 x16 (x8 lanes) card.
My build includes:
AMD Ryzen 5 5500 6-core, 12-thread processor with Wraith stealth cooler
Zalman T6 ATX Mid tower with pre-installed 120 mm fan
TEAMGROUP Ax2 1TB 3D NAND TLC 2.5 inch SATA 3 internal sold state drive ssd
Corsair CX&50F, 750 watt, 80 PLUS bronze, fully modular power supply
Silicon Power value gaming DDR4 RAM 16GB
GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO Wi-Fi motherboard

Hey! My budget is about 300$ and my resolution is 1680 x 1050. I am in the US and plan to get it online!

Thank you for listing your PSU as well. The CX750F will run any GPU in your price range, so i recommend a 6650 XT like this one https://www.newegg.com/msi-rx-6650-...m_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-14-137-737-_-03182023

It's a dramatic increase over your current card and should fit your budget including sales tax

The RX 6600 is also great value and a little cheaper, but a little slower. Both are much much faster than your 730...

300? Granted it’s used but how about this for about 175? Basically the same performance as a 6600xt, very close to

With the extra budget….

So by going with the used part you could have a new high refresh monitor with an update to 1080p for better visuals and a card. Or you could spend a bit more for the 6600, but the 5700xt is a faster card than the 6600.

I agree the 5700 XT is still a very capable card at 1080p up to 1440p. I bought a used Sapphire Nitro+ SE version for my ITX build and i love it.

If @XxSpacemoth wants to find the absolute best deal on frames/dollar, going used is the way to go, but buying new is less of a hassle for new builders and also comes with a warranty/peace of mind.

i wouldn't recommend buying used for anyone who isn't prepared to troubleshoot their purchase

Honestly for your budget and resolution, you might want to consider the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super or the AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT. Both of these cards should be able to handle running Ark on good graphics with mods at your resolution.
