HGST NAS 7200rpm 4TB terrible writing noise normal?

Just installed this 4tb hgst nas drive. Wow does it make noise when writing. So much that I can be 6ft away and stare at my computer and say wow. I came across one link that said this is normal for the 4tb. But nothing else said so. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal? When it's not reading or writing it's ok. But I have never heard a drive be this noisy ever.

If its that loud I say you should RMA it. I haven't had a loud hdd since the 90's and even then you could barely here it 6 feet away.

HGST is a decent brand so you may have just got a bad unit, I'd expect the replacement HGST to be ok.

Yea I hear they have the least crashing rate. But in the reviews they say that a bad drive is gonna happen every once in a while. I still have faith in HGST.
