Get a notepad, a pencil a pen, a good nights sleep, listen, take note of key information, then digest and write down your understanding of the material after the lecture. Sorted. And cheap.

I would almost use one of those digital USB voice recorders and transfer data via computer! The More GB's the better see how much those GB's equal in term of recording quality!
