This is all going for £430 in uk is this worth it? Please let me know

For £430 it's a good build, but if you want good gaming performance I'd suggest you change the graphics card. A GTX 660 or HD 7850 will be much better. You may also want to downgrade to 8GB RAM as 16GB is overkill for gaming.

Is the power supply a certain make/model? OEM ones are fairly terrible.

Which retailer are you getting the PC from? I've used PC Specialist in the past and highly recommend them.

No worries, we've all started from somewhere and plenty of us are still learning.

8G RAM is more than enough, but if you're happy to pay for 16GB then you may as well. Just don't expect to see much of an improvement. I'd recommend you go with 8GB and use the extra cash to upgrade the graphics card. That will give you a noticeable improvement if gaming is your thing. 16GB RAM only comes into its own if you're encoding HD video or running VMs.

The power supply will be OEM and the most important thing to note is whether it delivers the wattage it claims. A lot of PSUs state high wattages which don't deliver. Nearly every component in a PC uses a +12V rail so that's what you want to focus on. The calculation of ampere x voltage = wattage will tell you a PSUs true capability. For example, my PSU is stated at 750W and it delivers 62A, so 62 x 12 = 744, very close to the stated 750W. If you're buying on eBay I doubt the seller would post that kind of information, but it's worth asking about. If you find out about the ampere and voltage rails, I can tell you if the PSU is any good.

Hi ok so it's a 750 branded power supples and it all comes to 580 but he said if I really want to add a really good performance I shoudl out a ssd and it comes to 640 all together what you think? Thanks

What make and model of PSU did he quote? 650W will be plenty unless you plan to install a second graphics card. In that case, 750W would be the one to go for.

An SSD is a good idea, even if you only install the OS and third-party programs on it. Even the cheapest SSD outperforms an HDD for read/write speeds. For the extra £60 you'll get a 64GB SSD, which is fine so long as you're happy with that amount of storage. Again, if you can tell me the make and model I can tell you if it's worth it.

Hey buddy, ok so I am on a budget I mean I did want to try and get a good one for 450 to 500 but altogether it comes to 640 and the power supply is called powercool x-viper 750w

Powercool isn't a brand I've ever used so I can't personally say what they're like. That said, people haven't rated them very highly and they don't even have a website. I wouldn't trust it to be very reliable or provide the 750W of power it claims, so I wouldn't be happy using one in my PC.

I appreciate that you're on a budget, but I'd urge you to go for a recognised brand such as Corsair or Cooler Master, even if it means going down to 600-650W. This will still provide plenty of power.

That's a good spec, but I'd make these adjustments.

1. Change the x1 8GB RAM to x2 4GB RAM (not critical, but preferable).
2. Change the processor to an FX-6300.

The A6 is fine for basic tasks, but it's not a gaming processor and the integrated HD 8470D is pointless, as you have the GTX 660.

Wow ok so change the 8gb ram to a 4? I was thinking of bumping it up to 16gb as it won't hurt much and can't be that much more? And do you not think I shoudl tell them about the duel core? As it was a 6core does that not matter in my case? As even tgo I want a gaming pc I do want a very fast pc to do other stuff aswel like work and studying and browsing fast threw the web and being a real good pc ? Thank you
