I think you're getting the A6 and FX-6300 mixed up. The A6 is a dual-core and the FX is six-core, which is the one you want. The A6 is an APU, which is a CPU and GPU on the same hardware. This separation of resources compromises CPU power, so go for the FX.

It's not really necessary, but you should get x2 4GB RAM. You still have 8GB RAM in total, but because you have two DIMMs the memory will run in dual-channel. Again, it's not necessary, but it's a preferable set up.

No worries, you definitely want the FX-6300 so go for that. As far as RAM goes, ideally, you want two sticks of 4GB, making 8GB in total. If that's not an option, just stick with a single stick of 8GB and you'll be fine.
