My mobo blew, getting another but I have Windows 11 on the boot drive. I don't think it will boot up without the BIOS being updated first.
Can the BIOS read thumb drives directly ? I was hoping it would be that simple. The mobo is an Asus Tuf z370 Pro Gaming. tia

Solution
Probably. I would say Yes.

Most motherboards let you install BIOS updates off USB via the tools menu. Just boot into that and update it before windows boots and complains about no TPM or something.

I would confirm it for you but typically the Asus website is down for maintenance again.

Thanks, yes, the site was down for maintenance, hopefully It'll work, you shouldn't need a bootable flash drive to update the bios, I did manage to get the owners manual and the mobo drivers and bios last night for some reason by trying different links in google search. Maybe it's back up now.
