Hi, i am wanting to buy a graphics card for my computer. But I have out that my psu is 250w and I am wanting to upgrade that.

What are your current computer specs and how much power does your computer currently draw? If you want a low power card the best option is probably the GTX 750(Ti) and if power isn't a big deal then you can check out some of the R9 270's or 270x's. If you just want a good performance card then check out the GTX 760/770 cards.

The wattage of the PSU you need depends on what graphics card you choose. The PSU required will be shown on the graphics card manufacturer's website, but whichever graphics card you choose, 250w is certainly not enough.

So choose a graphics card first, then look on the manufacturer's website to see what PSU is required. We can't advise you on choosing a PSU until you have chosen a graphics card.

The problem is I have a packard bell ixtreme m5860. They dont seem to show any more details on the website :/

I do know that I have:

6gb DDR3
Intel i5 2320

But thats all I know

If you're getting a 600w PSU then most cards should be fine with the exception of the biggest, highest end cards. If you look at the back of your case where your GPU monitor connections are, you should see a certain amount of slots that look something like this

[|||||||||||||]

If your current card already takes up two of those then you should just be able to take that one out and put a new one in without any installation problems. As for the card you should get, I would get either an R9 270x or a GTX 760 if you are within a $200-$250 budget. If you want to spend somewhere around $350 then the GTX 770 would be another good option.
