Hi. I have the same Black screen problem as a lot of people with the cursor. I found that if I type in my password as normal

Win 8 Black screen with cursor. I found that if I type my password in I get onto the desktop. No icons. . "e" and Library are on the bar line. Bottom left corner is win 8 Green box and top right let's you into usual settings. How do I get my pc to work again correctly from there please?

I am having the same issue except it seems I cannot even log in, I get sick in a boot loop unless I disable my Wd Velociraptor. My OS is installed on 120GB Samsung EVO. Once I do, I can log in but have no "desktop" items due to the fact that I have redirected the folders to the velociraptor HD. I am in the process of reinstalling the windows 8 OS to the Samsung PRO SSD. I will repost to let you know if that fixes it. Mine is custom build system
