Hi i m having an issue wile using only 1 monitor on HDMI all works fine, but adding a second monitor on DP turns both screens to black screens making me not able to even troubleshoot on Windows.

Also to note that the using only the DP on only the second monitor does not work. What works for sure is only one HDMI on either of those monitors.

It could be cable issue but i want to rule out other possibilities.

What model graphics card are you using?
Or maybe you're using integrated graphics? What model motherboard then?
Or may be it's a laptop? What model laptop then?

What video cables are you using?
Any video cable adapters?

It could be cable issue but i want to rule out other possibilities.
n order to rule the cable out as the issue you should source another display cable and see if the issue persists.

Please list the specs to your build like so:

CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

List all attached peripherals.

Make and model monitors?

OS is Win10, GPU is 1660s and only using its HDMI and DP port, not the mobo port.
MSI MAG256F and another basic HP monitor.
