Hi I want to unlock the bios on dell vostro 1540 so I can overclock , how can I unlock it , now I can only change the date and time ,anyone knows ?

Should be able to do basic stuff like set boot order or possibly maybe configure ram voltage but beyond that, laptops are quite limited. They're not meant for overclocking, the heatsink/fans aren't at all capable of such task without using a cooling pad which laptop manufacturers wont rely on because of inconsistencies.

There's nothing to unlock ---- the BIOS on mass-produced laptops and prebuilt desktops is what it is (ie custom made to give the user only basic options).
