Hi so I've got an Alienware m17 R2 laptop and I've had it for a while now its specs are: Core i7-9750H, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 Max-Q
So basically the problem is what I said in the title but I will be playing a game (recently Ark Survival Ascended ) and it will run with an FPS range of 40-50 FPS which is fine but then my Frames drop to around 3 and I've noticed my Gpu usage drop also when the FPS drops. This will last for a bit of time then return to normal FPS and then do it again a bit later.
Another weird thing is it cuts out my discord when this happens not sure why but may help solve this problem. This also happens in games such as Borderlands 3 and more.
Any help would be appreciated. I have tried some things to try to get it working again but nothing has worked.
