Hi, my Pavilion a6110n has an AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core processor 4400+ . How do I find out what the highest wattage processor that my mother board can support would be? Do I have to stay in the Athlon X2 family at 65 watts or could I go higher into the Athlon X3 or X4 95 watt processors?

You have to give us your motherboard specs but from what information your giving me i doubt you have the socket required for the x4/x3 processors

Actually nevermind it seems your on the AM2 socket however considering how it's AM2 and not AM2+ and how old the Athlon 64x2 is i would venture to say it wouldn't support a x4/x3 processor
