So today I installed a second gtx 970 and before i did i had about 30-35 c on my CPU but now I go between 38 and 45. I am using a hyper 212 Evo and haven't had any issues until now. I think I could be that I switch PSU when installing my second GPU and I plugged in an 8 pin instead of one 4 pin CPU connector

Solution
Firstly. If your CPU is only reaching 45 degrees under load - that is not an issue.

Secondly, it's more likely to do with the fact that you've added another component that generates heat. It's only natural that your entire system will begin heating up because you're ultimately creating more heat, and the air flow from the GPU will flow past the CPU.

But if you're only reaching 45 degrees under load - you're fine.
