high CPU usage Battlefield 3

just got battlefield 3 with the humble bundle and everything is running great and no fps drop and running on its optimal settings. so i went to go check out the CPU usage and it was at 85% and i got kinda scared because I don't want to break the computer and was wondering if there is a way to bring down the CPU usage

Specs-
gtx 760 2gb superclocked
asus p8b75 motherboard
16gb ram
OCZ fata1ity 550w power supply
i5 3570k clocked at 3.4

it is normal to have a cpu usage of 85% in battlefield 3 because if you have more usage it will run better

really i thought that it was the higher the usage the faster the CPU will deteriorate. so then what is a critical level of CPU usage?

My bf3 runs at 95%. If games use high cpu usage, that means the game is optimized very good. Or you just have a bad cpu. In your case its running extremely well. Whats the point of having 100% cpu usage if your only going to use 50%, you know what i mean. Heat is an issue though. If your temps go over 70c, you need to let your cpu cool.

My system running BF3 ultra on the large maps takes a 4.1GHz clock to get under 100%.

your cpu will only go as fast as it can, after that its called a bottle-neck. If I were rendering a video with a 10 year old cpu, it would take like 5 days when running at 100%. a new cpu running at 100% might only take 1 day. cpu's are meant to go to 100%

lets put it this way. start worrying when your cpu is UNDER 50%

ive heard several different things about critical CPU temps. some have said 70C 80 C and even 90C i dont know which one to go off of
