Question High CPU usage leading to fps spiking

I've recently had trouble with my ryzen 5 3600 (im not sure if thats the issue but i do think so), cpu usage running to 86% and my fps dropping (playing rainbow six siege) i should comfortably run 120-144 fps but i run 90 and allso i get spikes, which means they drop to about 20 fps momentarily. does anyone know what i can do to get to the bottom of this? thank you

Please list your full PC specs, so we can better understand what's going on.

In the meantime, some quick fixes: use the Ryzen balance power profile. If not installed, then download the latest chipset drivers for your system, along with GPU drivers (use DDU to uninstall them).

What bios are you running? Having an up to date one, may help here.

Did you service the PC recently ? It can be the result of bad CPU cooler mounting or incorrect thermal paste application.
