[SOLVED] high cpu usage low gpu usage, Botllenecking?

ik this has been here before but i have rlly high cpu usage like 100% and only 16 % gpu usage. ive done all these tweaks like the 'prefer maximum performance' thing and it hasnt worked for me. i have an i5-7400k & a gtx 1070ti 8gb and 16gb of ram, any chance that my cpu is bottlenecking?

cpu temp during the game? what games? what resolution? new build or upgrade?

there is no i5-7400K, just a 7400, and if playing at 1080P, then the GPU will not be close to maxed, as it will likely take a bit more CPU speed to saturate a 1070Ti...(Maybe you can find a steal on a 7700K?)

If you are otherwise happy with frame rates, I'd not be expecting much other than high CPU usage in most modern games...

not too sure about the temp but its bf1 and flight sims which i heard are quite cpu extensive, upgrade from gtx 1050ti

oops sorry, thanks for the advice, so turning down resolution will increase my frames, i get like 20fps its rlly bad

only 20 fps in any game at any resolution (even 4k) means something is wrong/botched...

Botched driver/ Windows update glitch....?

did you upgrade the gpu? monitor plug in to the gpu?
make and model of the PSU?
