I recently bought and built a PC for myself and whenever i try to play games my CPU usage goes to 100% causing massive frame drops. Maybe you could help me.

Specs:
Intel Core i5-6600K (Boxed, LGA 1151 Skylake)
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8 GB
Kingston HyperX FURY SSD 120 GB (2,5" SATA 3.0)
Western Digital Blue 1 TB (3,5" SATA 3.0)
Kingston HyperX Fury Black 2 x 8 GB (DDR4, 2666 MHz, CL15)
Gigabyte GA-Z170-GAMING K3 (ATX, LGA 1151, DDR4)
SilentiumPC Fortis 3 HE1425

Solution
i5 is not enough for GTX 1070, it is a CPU bottleneck. My i5 3470 reaches 100% all the time. But I think I5 6600k should handle the GTX 1070. Instead you should try to reduce frame rates. Shadows, draw distance, physics affect CPU

Witcher 3,
CS GO,
Tomb raider,
Crysis 3,
Metal Gear Solid V

Witcher 3 Crashes many times in my PC . So had to reduce the Graphics settings and limit the fps to 60. It happened with tomb raider at max settings too. GPU giving me 160 fps where as cpu at 95 to 100% and crashes in 5 to 10 mins of gameplay, so 60 fps limit here too. The same happened in CS: GO (reaches 260 fps and crashes, but i'm playing at 120 fps) and Crysis 3. So I ordered for i7 6700k, hope it does solve the issue. 1070 is way above my expectations and i5 3470 doesn't reaches it. Maybe i5 6600k is enough for it.

In case of Metal Gear Solid V : Phantom Pain, my cpu is below minimum requirements

Update: Now Max utilisation of i7 6700k without overclocking is 67% in tombraider at all max settings. But i5 3470 reaches more than 100% and crashes in minutes
