Question High CPU usage when playing games

hi,

I just upgraded my old cpu to i5 10400f and MO to gigabytes h410m s2 v3.

so here's the problem, i chose to keep my liquid cooler(ID-cooling frostflow) because I've never had any issue with it. however after upgrading, my cpu is now 40-45c idle and 90-100c while gaming.

it stays at constant 100c every time i run cinebench R23.

I've tried reapplying the thermal paste and blowing the dust off my pc and yet nothing seemed to change.

in bios settings make sure that pump speed runs at 100%

What size AIO are you using?
Did you readjust the pump and fan curves for your new motherboard?
