High disk Usage with PID 4?

When opening outlook or Internet explorer on my computer, my disk usage rises to 100% and sits there. I have windows 7 64bit. I know this is a common issue, but I have not found a fix. Any ideas? Thanks.

This 100% disk usage issue is more likely to be caused by OS services in Win 8/10 systems.
As yours is on Win 7, then my advice would be to back up the important data stored on the drive and test it afterwards: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
Look for pending/reallocated and uncorrectable sectors.

You can double check the connections. Attach the drive with different cables(especially power one) to another SATA port.

I will test this as soon as I can. When I do, how would I go about re-attaching the drive? It is inside a laptop as apposed to a desktop.

Well, as you have a laptop, then you can just test the drive.
I assumed that you had a desktop computer, as you didn't mention it was a laptop.
