High end PC crashing when playing games.

Hey, I have a problem with my computer freezing while playing (moderately) demanding games such as Saints row IV. This is exactly what happens: launch the game and everything goes smoothly, play the game for a few minutes with PC running perfectly fine at good temperatures then bam! It freezes and I can't do anything but turn my PC off. I don't know what the problem is, as I tested and troubleshooted all these possible causes:
GPU runs at 76-79 degrees Celsius (well within the range for a 780ti)
CPU runs at good temps (40-60 Celsius)
CPU not overclocked!
GPU has stock overclock on it from EVGA (it is the reference EVGA superclocked)
RAM- I have had the same RAM for 4 builds now so I doubt this is the issue
mobo has most recent bios - nothing went wrong when updating BIOS
no conflicting sound cards/ driver (EVGA support tried to tell me this was the issue)
no old drivers from previous hardware
PSU voltages are within spec
PSU definitely has enough power for build under full load.
Note: I probably missed some of the things I looked into.

Here are the specs of my build:
intel i7 3770 (non k) with h110 water cooler
nVidia GTX 780ti reference cooler
samsung 500gb 840 evo ssd
16gb ADATA 1600mhz RAM
850w ULTRA 80 plus silver PSU
3840x2160 asus monitor

I use evga percision x 16 for gpu monitoring and I have no other software that might conflict with it.
I don't know what the issue is, any help would be great.
PS. you don't have to dumb anything down for me, I know my way around the block.

Solution
I'd start off with running memtest86+ and get that out of the way first.

Side note: Are you using the latest version of evga precision x software? I'd can it and just use msi's afterburner software to save potential headaches down the road. EVGA's version is not nearly as well written as MSI's. It will, imho, conflict with many anti-cheat software programs, unlike MSI's.

It's suggesting there is a hardware problem. Now its time to narrow down the issue. You can start by testing each RAM stick individually. If not one single stick of RAM completes a run, it could be all the RAM sticks or another component. Hopefully you can narrow it down to single stick of RAM being the culprit, but at this point the testing isn't definitive and only indicates that more testing is needed. You want to try to isolate the problem.

Most likely, its the RAM, and if its under warranty, and was a packaged set, then the warranties usually replace the entire set. I'd still try to test each stick separately to confirm that it is the memory and not another component.

are u installing Geforce experience?
if yes,u need to uninstall it,i had this experience with my gtx 770,i install GFE and its always crash everytime i play
when i uninstal it,it never crash again
try it i think it will work for u

Okay I ran memtest86 for the last couple hours and turns out, two of my RAM dimms crapped out on me! Guess I only have 8gb now since the two that died are out of warranty 🙁. And yes i do have geforce experience tubagznyven however I don't know if that was the problem. I will do some more testing then come back and pick whoever had the solution :) thanks for the help.

hehe geforce experience isn't all that great either... if you need its features like shadowplay or for the nvidia shield, keep it, otherwise its not doing anything you cant do for yourself.
