[SOLVED] High end PC performing below expectations?

As u can see my pc performance is bad with good components... Whats wrong?

Yes, I have enabled "high performance" in windows and control panel.

Yes, my monitor is plugged in GPU.

Yes, I have installed latest drivers.

I just ran ASUS own app stress test and max temp was 56 degrees. And max Frequency was 4.41 GHz

The temps are fine but the CPU is running slow. You should try Aida64 extreme to see what is the highest clocks you get and at the same time it will show temps. The 8700K should be boosting to 4.7Ghz....I am sure your cooler may have something to do with this but first clear everything and run Aida and report both max CPU speed and temps...

Just realised you cannot seem to open AIDA...this seems to be a problem...Are you up to date on Windows 10 updates? have you checked that all your drivers are up to date? You really should have no issues running AIDA at all...

I got aida idk what was the problem before... But what benchmark should i dot here? And power supply is 650w or 600w

Uncheck the local disks and stress GPU leave the rest checked just like you have now...

OK! One last question before im starting test. How long? And do i have to be next to my pc? Like if my cpu overheats?

Yep just keep an eye on it as the temps will stabilise...If it goes over 90 degrees then stop...you are okay all the way to 105 degrees but stop at 90 degrees. Also let me know the max speed the CPU reaches..You should only need to run it for 5 or 10 minutes...

Test is running now im going to keep it running 1hour about. As im looking temps i can see my motherboard temp is 24. Is that low? Or is it good or bad or normal

okay temps look absolutely fine but you clocks only hit a max 4.3GHz. Go into your BIOS and set MCE to 'on' and run again and check the clocks tab to see max clocks.

Yep much better as you are now achieving 4.7GHz....Temps are a little high but that is to be accepted as the CPU cooler you have is a bit weak. Temps will not be a worry during normal use like gaming etc but if you want higher clocks you will need to get a better cooler.....

And your CPU voltage is also good and this can be further tweaked down later when you go for a proper manual overclock but right now it all looks good.

Thats great! I think im going to buy AIO cooler.

Yep an AIO would be great. I use the Corsair H150i Pro but any good 240mm or even better 280mm will do the job.

So im just going to follow that video and put my cpu fan go faster?

You should move very slowly and carefully if you're new to overclocking...if you don't understand how to do it you'd be better off reading a lot of articles and going in small increments.

You can easily brick your system if you do something foolish.
