Hello All

Windows 11 Pro Clean Install

High Hardware Reserved memory?

Onboard Video is disabled in UEFI Bios

Page file also a little high i feel, but maybe cause of my Samsung 990 Evo Plus Boot Drive this Host Memory Buffer type drive

Purchases soon as i can another Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, and i'll have 2 Drives with Dram Cache. Samsung 990 Pro 1TB will become Boot drive then, and Samsung 990 Pro 2TB will become Game NVMe. I know i spend more for Samsung drives, but i feel better having 1 SSD Managment software installed

Any help or tips appreciated, im not an expert on Memory or hardware things at all

Where did you source the installer for the OS? Did you install the OS in offline mode?

I noticed you have info your sig space. Please include the specs to your build in the thread's body as sig space specs can and will change over time, rendering this thread and it's possible solutions, rendered moot to the end user in the same boat as you're in now.
^
Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Would be a good idea to see if disabling entries in your OS startup helps bring that number for ram usage down.

Ok Specs of System are

MSI Pro B650 VC Wifi Rev 1.0-Bios Revision 7D78v1J
CPU Ryzen 7 7700X
CPU Cooler: Air cooler--Whatever Place that built it choose that was good to use, all i know its a Tower Air Cooler
Ram: Teamgroup 32GB DDR 5 5600mhz
SSD x2 Samsung 990 Evo Plus 1TB Boot NVMe, & Samsung 990 Pro 1TB Game NVMe
GPU: Radeon 7800XT OC 16GB
PSU: 750 Watt High Power, about a year old just about
OS: Windows 11 Pro 26100.4351
Chassis: Lian Li Lancool 216 ARGB
Monitor: Asus VG249Q1R 1080P

yes not even sure why using that much memory in use

Software installed
Roboform Password Manager--just renewed til 2027
SignalRGB, since MSI Mystic Light wasn't working well with my daily use Standard account
Powerchute Personal Edition for battery backup
Outlook Classic
Spotify
EA App
and Firestorm VIewer for SecondLife open right now

High hardware reserved memory can be due to several factors, even with onboard video disabled in UEFI. Check for BIOS updates and ensure memory remapping is enabled. As for the page file, Windows adjusts it dynamicallyRBTyour 990 Evo Plus using HMB (Host Memory Buffer) may slightly affect it, but it's normal. Once you switch to the 990 Pro drives with DRAM cache, you’ll likely see slight performance gains and more consistent memory behavior. Your plan makes sense, and sticking with Samsung for unified software management is a solid approach.

Will check those things out in UEFI bios first thing tomorrow or maybe even before i sleep later

This Samsung 990 Evo Plus won't go to waste once i switch to for Internal 2 990 Pros, i'll use this Samsung 990 Evo Plus in another machine in the future or External Enclosure with Active Cooling.

Was gonna switch drives around on this clean install, but i couldn't find my Magnetic M.2 screwdriver after cleaning room for a previous Townhome inspection, so just stayed with current setup a bit longer

Am Willing to Switch to SecondLife Offical Viewer if need be

Firestorm SecondLife viewer is 3rd party, but popular one

Did forget i also Run Malwarebytes Premium on all 3 of the Household Computers
((if that matters any, not sure))
