Question High Latency issues

Hello, recently my ethernet has been experiencing lag spikes through many games. It's connected to a RE220 Tplink Wifi extender with a 100mb cable. Some days my connection will be fine, however some days it will only experience sharp connection issues about 60% of the time I try and play something it will do that. I presume its due to the new wifi extender cause the problems got worse right after I got it, the lag spikes were there before but much smaller and rarer. The weird thing is that my ping always stays around the same. (10-50ms) Is it a fixable problem? I apologize if its not as detailed as it should be I can provide more info as need.

Pretty much all you are doing is using a wifi adapter that is connected via a eiternet cable rather than say a USB cable. It is still wifi and will have all the issues wifi does with games. It is kinda strange you do not see packet loss or large increases in the latency when you see issues in the game. Then again you would need to have the ping running at the same time. Most the time ping will show the errors but the problem one packet will have issues and then the next will not.

As mentioned above powerline adapters tend to have more stable latency than wifi even if they sometimes have less bandwidth.
