Hello I need help, pinging my brother in cmd gives out a high ping even though we're in the same network. What could usually cause this and how can I remedy it?
Sidenote, ping sometimes lowers to 3-7ms but at times it fluctuates to 50-500ms which makes LAN games like minecraft unplayable. Help please!

Solution
Not wired, only through WiFi, where my PC uses an adapter whereas the laptop has it built-in
WIFI could just be interference from other WIFI or some other device using all the band width. That router is only a 2.4Ghz router. It will not have good WIFI performance if you live near any other WIFI (like an apartment building).
If you want to play on the LAN, then you should get a wired connection between the two PCs.

You need to list all the network hardware you are using and how these devices are connected to it.
