High Ping, High lag on WiFi

I played with some friends a bit and there was barely any lag, then suddenly I started rubberbanding all over the place. I tried this guide but the problem still persists. I am in a student accommodation and I have no idea how many people I am sharing the same connection with. Ethernet is not really an option. What can I do? SpeedTest gives me a download speed of 22.76Mb/s.

I would suggest powerline adapters but it sounds like you are using a school provided wireless connection? Any way to access the router?
