High ping when someone is watching youtube!

Anytime someone in my house is watching Youtube, my ping goes from 30 to 400-800.
The 400-800 ping is constant and doesn't go under 400. QoS is glitched with my router (See options for a second then they disappear) so I can't activate it. Any suggestions?

- If you aren't hard wired to router, can you?
- Reset/Factory reset router
- Check for firmware update
- Buy new router

I am connected to the router through an ethernet cable. Firmware is updated. If we reset the router to factory we have to call my ISP and get the password. Buying a new router is the last solution.

I didn't realize it was the ISP's router.
You should call them, but be forewarned they will want to rule out anything but a single direct connection plus they're own remote tests, so do the same. Reset the modem and connect directly and have no wireless connections. A good bet is to also run anti malware on every device. Malwarebytes is excellent and free.
What is the bandwidth on the package you have?
