How long have you been able to track its temp? What I mean is, did you just get monitoring software and notice it was high, or has it only recently increased?
Some Asus boards have sensors that always give wrong readouts, some of mine used to be negative and one was always over 125C even when rest of the board was showing below 30.
So if the rest of the board seems normal you can probably just ignore it. As to where it is, I don't know
