Hi guys, I'm fairly new to the pc world and have just built my first pc. With stress testing the CPU I have realised that after 5-10 minutes of the blend test (before was a stable 60c), the temperature started climbing pass 75c and I would manually have to stop the program when the CPU reaches 80c. Any reason as why this might happen? Thanks.

What CPU cooler are you using? Case cooling?

If you are using the stock heatsink, I would say for Blend, that is a relatively normal temperature. It is not ideal, but it likely won't cause any major issues.

I suggest having a rear (preferably 120mm) fan. A fan or two in the top intake will help the CPU cooler out a lot, by lowering ambient temperatures and pushing hot air out of the case for the CPU cooler to do it's job more effectively.

I'm currently using the Noctua NH-D15 as my CPU cooler. My case comes with three 140mm fans, two for the front intake and one for rear exhaust. The blend test would only last for about 10 minutes max until I exceed 80c..
