Question High Temps on Dell XPS 9570

I just got a new Dell XPS 9570 and noticed that the fans were blowing insanely loud at idle. I have nothing open except hwmonitor. And the cpu temps average around high 70s and peak at 99 on all cores! Is this normal for this laptop? It's super annoying having the fans blow this loud and won't the high temps reduce the lifespan of the laptop?

A brand new laptop with pretty much nothing running shouldn't be hitting temps like that. I would probably contact Dell, you might want to return that laptop.

My room mate had an XPS with a 1050ti i believe and it had some throttling issues when gaming, but thats to be expected pretty much, your issue is concerning.
