Hi, sorry if it's a dumb question. I have a laptop that I bought online, it was advertised as fhd but its 1366x768. I would have returned it but the rest of the specs kinda made up for it. I just want to know, can I replace the inbuilt laptop screen with a higher resolution one? The model is hp 14-cm0075au. Thanks.

There is no definitive "Yes/No" answer to this question. If that laptop was offered originally by HP with FHD display, and they use same motherboard - probably, you can do that. Start researching HP service documentation for this series. Check whether sellers offer FHD displays for that model.

Hi. I searched and found an exact same laptop with full hd display.
Link for my screen:

Link for similar laptop screen:

They both use 30 pin connectors. I wonder if there is some firmware on the motherboard that could prevent the other screen from working? Because if it does work, I think I'll get it. Please advise. Thanks.
