Generally, when you buy a game, the stuff you download is already compressed. It decompresses when you install it.

Well, the only source of games is whoever you buy it from. They don't offer a selection between 'compressed' and 'highly compressed' .

GTA IV, Just Cause 2 and Far Cry 2 are available from Steam.
The first Bad Company was never released on PC(only the xbox 360 and ps3), but Bad Company 2 is available on Steam.

Just cause 2 is $14.99
GTA IV is $19.99
Bad Company 2 is $19.99
These are prices in the US they may vary depending on where you are at.
