I'm getting artifacts at default settings with most games.
If I o/c my ASUS m/b by more than 10% the boot fails unless I unplug everything. Could the artifacts be caused by a struggling power supply?

Struggling power supplies usually just plain crash. More likely it's a heat problem, which would also affect your general stability and CPU overclocking.

What are your temps?

And what is your PSU?

Have you tried downclocking your memory? I had similar problems on the HIS I bought; finally tried d/c'ing the memory and the problems went away at 300. Just got unlucky with the memory on that card, so I RMA'd it.

Temperatures of max 55 on the CPU and 40 on the mb. The PSU is 350. I suspect the psu because there are times when I go beyond +10% on the cpu that the system fails to boot unless I disconect all USB devices

55 seems a bit high for a CPU running at stock, what kind of CPU do you have?

If you know your PSU is that iffy then you should indeed replace it with at *least* a good name-brand 350 watt job, preferably 450 watt. If you can't afford name-brand then go at least a generic 500 watt PSU.

Seems high to me, but I'm an AthlonXP guy. Any P4 overclockers can tell this guy if he's running hot?
